Abstract

The advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed various aspects of life, particularly the field of education. Students are increasingly becoming active users of AI tools, often without sufficient awareness of the challenges these technologies may present. This paper highlights several limitations of AI – such as sycophancy, hallucinations, and bias – illustrated through real-life examples. Additionally, the study introduces selected AI applications that show promising potential to support teachers in effectively integrating AI into their practice. The paper concludes with recommendations aimed at ensuring ongoing human oversight in the development and use of AI within educational contexts.

Key words: artificial intelligence, Large Language Models, chatbots, AI hallucinations
