Abstract

This article examines the implementation of the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach in multilingual classrooms, emphasizing the integration of thinking skills, artificial intelligence and digital tools. In today’s multilingual classrooms, CLIL is more than just acquiring subject knowledge in a foreign language; it also fosters cognitive development, plurilingual and multicultural competence. In this sense, artificial intelligence and digital tools can help CLIL teachers cater to their students’ different learning styles and integrate higher-order thinking skills, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, while ensuring that students remain emotionally engaged and motivated.

Key words: multilingual education, CLIL approach, artificial intelligence, digital tools, Smart Notebooks
