Abstract
The rapid rise of artificial intelligence is reshaping education, creating both significant opportunities and complex challenges for students, teachers, and school systems. This article explores the implications of AI in classrooms, including its impact on teaching practices, student learning, academic integrity, and equity. While AI has the potential to personalize learning and reduce teacher workload, it also raises concerns about misinformation, bias, overreliance, and a lack of clear policy. The need for AI literacy among educators and students is urgent, as is the importance of ethical, human-centred implementation. The article calls for open dialogue, shared strategies, and thoughtful integration to ensure AI supports – rather than disrupts – meaningful learning.
Key words: AI literacy, personalised learning, academic integrity
