Abstract
The article summarises the results of the impact of the Lesson Study on the professional development of Kazakhstani teachers. The paper is based on scientific concepts that support the potential of Lesson Study as an effective model for changing the approach to student-centred teaching and providing structured opportunities for in-school professional development.
Based on the results of annual monitoring studies conducted by the Center of Excellence, the article outlines the stages and mechanisms of Lesson Study integration into teaching practice, which were accompanied by the transformation of teachers’ attitudes. This transformation moved from initial reactions of rejection through formal application to conscious understanding and conviction that this approach is valuable for professional development and counteracting the culture of professional isolation.
