Abstract
The author focuses on the problem that modern education should meet the needs and requirements of learners, one of which is readiness for the challenges of the future. This work defines future-ready learning on the example of Confucius’ “Dao” and examines functionalist and humanistic views of student learning. Moreover, policies and initiatives of Singapore’s Ministry of Education are presented along with programmes that support school leaders.
