Abstract

The article discusses modern concepts of leadership as applied to school education. Leaders still create training projects, form corporate culture and act as a communication center for the implementation of promising concepts. Aspects of managerial and pedagogical leadership development - mentoring and coaching programs - are revealed. Ideas and models of student self-governance and their impact on the quality of education are reviewed. Practical recommendations on leadership development in school education are presented.
