Abstract

Humanity is faced with the increasing speed of technological change. The global economic landscape rapidly evolves, transforming professional competencies and actualising flexible skills. Their value is dictated by the times.
The clear understanding that the only competitor of artificial intelligence can be our abilities, given to us by the right of human existence, emphasises the necessity of their proactive “pumping”.
The article outlines the importance of soft skills in the context of forming and developing a professional portfolio. We should be ready, defining the place of our professional activity, to pass an additional test on the ability to achieve goals, buy dreams and be professionally happy.
The answer to the rhetorical question of the theme of the journal issue – “SOFT SKILLS: why is it important?” – is presented through the prism of analytical international and national studies as well as expert opinions.

Key words: creativity, BANI-world, mindset, “self-concept” trend
