Abstract
The article discusses contemporary opportunities for obtaining sought-after teaching qualifications – primary school teacher and speech therapist. The authors analyse whether professional retraining programmes based on existing higher or secondary vocational education can be an effective tool for changing careers. The key features, main tasks and prospects of both professions are described. The article aims to help potential students make an informed choice by providing detailed information about the conditions and results of training in pedagogical retraining courses.
